Montenegrin referee at Sporting’s debut in the Europa League

Montenegrin referee Nikola Dabanovic was appointed by UEFA on Tuesday for Sporting’s 2023/24 Europa League debut, scheduled for Thursday at the home ground of Austrian club Sturm Graz.

In the first round match of Group D at the Graz Liebenau Stadium, Dabanic will be assisted by his compatriots Vladan Todorovic and Srdan Jovanovic, while Milos Boskovic will be the fourth referee. Dutchman Jochem Kamphuis will perform in VAR.

Sporting will make their Europa League debut on Thursday, where their best result was reaching the semi-finals in 2011/12.

The match between Sturm Graz and Sporting in the first round of Group D of the Europa League will start at 20:00 (in Lisbon).
