The Public Security Police (PSP) arrested five men aged between 18 and 19 years old at the scene of the crime as they were suspected of committing a crime of car theft in the Marvila parish in Lisbon.
The arrest occurred at 17:20 on September 19. According to the PSP statement, agents saw a parked vehicle with four people inside and two outside, who notified others of the police presence.
The authorities asked if the car belonged to anyone, and everyone said no. The owner of the car was contacted, he admitted that he did not know the suspects, and said that he intended to bring everyone to justice.
The sixth suspect, a minor, was not arrested but was handed over to his father, who learned of the incident, and a case was compiled and subsequently sent to the Lisbon Family and Juvenile Court.
