More than 200 people were arrested Sunday in France after clashes with police after the French lost to Argentina in world football in Qatar.
According to the French Interior Ministry, after the game in different cities, 227 people belonging to pro-selection groups were arrested, who were involved in riots and clashes with police.
About 50 arrests took place in Paris, where the largest number of supporters gathered, namely on the Champs Elysées.
Some of the supporters fired rockets at the police, who organized the deployment of 14,000 agents throughout France. Several police officers were slightly injured
Argentina won the World Cup for the third time on Sunday, beating France 4-2 on penalties after going 3-3 in 120 minutes.
