On Friday, Expresso reported that one of the defendants in the Perfect Storm case, Paulo Branco, then in charge of finance at the General Directorate of National Defense Resources, accused João Gomes Craviño of a consulting contract worth about $50,000. According to the weekly, Paulo Branco said that then-Defense Minister João Gomes Craviño “agreed” or even “asked” to sign a consultancy contract with Captain Ferreira to compensate him and “make up for lost bills” for work done. in the “ghost commission” operating within the confines of his office.
