According to ERSE – Entidade Reguladora dos Serviços Energéticos, natural gas tariffs for families in the regulated market will increase by 0.6% from this Sunday compared to the prices set in September.

According to the regulator, “consumers in the regulated market, starting in October, will see an average increase in the final selling price of 0.6% compared to prices in force in September,” and compared to the average price for the year of the previous gas (2022–2023 gg.), “consumers on the regulated market have observed an average increase in the final selling price of 1.3% since October (2023–2024 gas).

This increase implies an average monthly increase of ten to 15 cents for the two most representative categories of clients: couples with two children and couples without children, respectively.

In the case of tariffs for access to networks on the free market, they will increase by 2.9% (high pressure) and 3.3% (medium and low pressure) compared to the previous gas year.

Consumers with a social tariff will receive a 31.2% discount on transitional tariffs for sale to end consumers.

Galp, for its part, will increase natural gas prices by an average of 4% starting this Sunday but will keep electricity prices unchanged until the end of the year, an official source told Lusa in August.
