There are 1,262 teachers working in schools who teach without a profession.

According to the Ministry of Education, which this Monday began the negotiation process to revise the legal regime for the professional qualifications of teachers, there are 1,262 teachers without professional qualifications working in basic and secondary schools.

According to a source in the Ministry of Education, more teachers with their own qualifications have been recruited to schools this year than last year, when about a thousand teachers taught without professional qualifications: 1,262 teachers with their own qualifications have already been employed this year.

After schools fail to fill vacancies through national competitions and recruitment pools, management can hire teachers of their own qualifications.

This year, for example, there were schools that simultaneously recruited three different teachers who were successively rejected, according to a ministry source.

There is a growing use of hiring people with scientific backgrounds but without didactic or pedagogical training, and authorities now want to attract these specialists to schools and strengthen the training capacity to professionalize them.

The proposal of the guardianship is that teachers with a master’s or doctoral degree undergo an internship lasting only one semester, without prejudice to the frequency of teaching sessions within the specific didactics covered by the relevant teaching group.

The ministry’s proposal is that teachers with four years of experience can replace the internship with a reporting one.

To combat the shortage of teachers in schools, the government has taken a number of measures to make the career more attractive, and is now introducing a range of measures to unions, such as providing paid internships for master’s students studying to become teachers.

In the same sense, according to the guardianship proposal, internships for the preschool education recruitment group could be carried out in the next academic year in kindergartens, which would thus support the increase in the number of vacancies announced this year by the Ministry. social security.
