This Wednesday morning, the Feira court began trying a man on suspicion of trying to kill his wife’s lover with a kitchen knife in Santa Maria da Feira. The defendant’s partner was pregnant at the time she was having an extramarital affair. The man allegedly stabbed his rival to death out of jealousy.
The incident occurred in December 2021 in Fiaynes. The defendant kicked the victim’s car door as he drove up to meet the woman.
According to the public charge, the man stabbed his rival as he got out of his car. The accused eventually fled the scene in a car, but was pursued by the victim. During the chase, the cars collided.
The man was detained at the scene where everything happened by GNR officers. The victim was taken to Feira Hospital with serious arm injuries.
The accused is responsible for crimes such as attempted murder and driving without a legal license.
