A Portuguese-Israeli student was found dead in Tel Aviv.

Rotem Neumann, a 25-year-old Portuguese-Israeli woman studying in Tel Aviv, was found dead on Tuesday. A young woman attending an electronic music festival that was invaded by Hamas near the Gaza Strip border has been missing for three days.

Rotem last spoke to his parents when he heard a rocket fire at the festival, according to Tomer Neumann, the victim’s cousin, quoted by The Associated Press. This was the last time the family heard from the young woman.

According to the news agency, the Portuguese citizen, who was trying to escape the attack with her friends, got into a car heading to northern Israel to seek refuge. Soon the car collided with trucks with militants who were firing machine guns. In a panic, they changed gear and headed in the opposite direction. Armed militants also gathered on roads in the south.

They got out of the car and ran east, away from the border, hiding in a concrete shelter they found in Kibbutz Reim. Soon the militants began bombing the shelter.

According to Tomer Neumann, quoted by the Associated Press, the bodies were found in the area of the bunker.
