The third largest loss on the accounts of Porto: 47.6 million euros.

FC Porto’s negative net SAD result for the 2022/23 financial year has several justifications, including items related to passing transactions. By this measure, the results were negative and amounted to 24.14 million euros, which was very different from the positive 44.97 million euros in the 2021/22 season. It should be noted that the sale of Otavio to Al Nasr, already completed in August, is not included in this year ending June 30.

Increased operating costs also impacted the bottom line, with the exception of ticket prices, which increased by €20.9 million, partly due to the awarding of trophies for qualifying for this year’s Champions League as national champion, as well as other awards for sporting achievements. It is worth noting that last season Porto won the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, Allianz Cup and Taça de Portugal, and also reached the 1/8 finals of the Champions League.

Despite the final loss, FC Porto emphasizes that “EBITDA (operating cash flow) is positive at 23.1 million euros, reflecting the resources released by the company’s operating activities.”
