This Friday, the Portuguese national football team secured its ninth and eighth consecutive participation in the European Championship by defeating Slovakia 3-2 in the seventh round of Group J qualifying in Porto.
Gonçalo Ramos in the 18th minute and Cristiano Ronaldo in the 29th and 72nd minutes scored first from penalties for Portugal, repeating goals from 1984, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020. , while David Hanko, 69, and Stanislav Lobotka, 80, scored for the Slovaks.
With three rounds still to be played, in the group going into the first two, Portugal, the 2016 European champions, now has 21 points, compared with 13 for Slovakia, 11 for Luxembourg, nine for Bosnia and Herzegovina, seven for Iceland and zero for Liechtenstein.
