Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal gave Al Nasr a 2-1 victory over Damak this Saturday in response to the triumph of Luis Castro’s team in the 10th round of the Saudi Football League.
After a 2-2 draw with Abha in the last round, Ronaldo scored in the 56th minute to turn the score around in a match in which, like Portugal’s captain, midfielder Otavio was on the pitch throughout.
Earlier, Cameroonian N’Koudou had given Damac the lead after 45+2 minutes, but Brazilian Talisca, a former Benfica player, restored equality with 52 minutes.
Ronaldo remains at the top of the list of top scorers in the Saudi League, now with 11 goals.
Al Nasr moved into third place with 22 points, four behind Jorge Jesus’ Al Hilal, who hosted and beat Al Khaleej 1-0 that day.
