According to the IPMA, the areas of Viseu, Porto, Viana do Castelo, Aveiro and Braga are under a yellow warning this Monday due to the forecast of sometimes heavy downpours, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms and strong wind gusts.
The yellow warning for these five counties will remain in effect until 9am this Monday.
The Porto area is again under a yellow warning for rain from 9am to 3pm on Tuesday.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has also issued a yellow warning for the Viana do Castelo and Braga areas due to forecast strong winds gusting up to 80 kilometers per hour from 9am to 12pm on Tuesday.
A yellow warning is issued by the IPMA whenever a risk situation arises for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.
