The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) announced this Wednesday the resumption of its emergency disaster support fund in order to minimize the damage caused to club facilities due to bad weather in recent days.
The total amount of support that district and regional associations, class members and clubs can apply for is determined by the leadership of the FPF depending on the damage and losses recorded, the impact on football or futsal activities, the area affected and the number of competitions. which have been suspended.
Established in May 2023, the fund aims to support the reconstruction and infrastructure for the practice and development of football and futsal following damage caused by natural disasters, as well as to help maintain or promote temporarily suspended football activities until the affected infrastructure is operational.
Portugal has been hit by heavy rains and strong winds in recent days, causing flooding and falling trees and some buildings in several regions.
