An Aveiro court has ordered the preventive detention of two of the three people arrested on Monday on suspicion of drug trafficking in the municipality of Agueda, the GNR said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the GNR clarified that three suspects, two men aged 44 and 47 and a woman 43, were present in the Aveiro court on Tuesday, with the man being subjected to the most serious coercive measure. an elderly man and his wife.
A coercive measure was applied to the third defendant: daily reporting to the police station at his place of residence, a ban on communicating with persons involved and witnesses in the case under investigation, as well as a ban on visiting places associated with drug trafficking/use. .
The suspects were detained by the NPR as part of a drug trafficking investigation that lasted about a year.
According to the Guard, three searches were carried out: one at home and two at vehicles, resulting in the seizure of 36 doses of cocaine, 20 doses of heroin and 0.8 grams of marijuana, as well as various materials related to cutting, packaging and drug trafficking .
Eight mobile phones and €180 in cash were also seized.
This action included the reinforcement of GNR territorial posts in Agueda and Albergaria a Vella.
