This Friday, the President of the Republic unveiled the organic diploma of the Coordination Department for Borders and Foreigners, created as part of the liquidation of the SEF and which will operate within the framework of the internal security system.
A note published on the website of the President of the Republic indicates that Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has published a diploma of completion of the SEF reform, which will be canceled at midnight on Sunday.
“Given the relevance of this thesis, approved yesterday by the Council of Ministers [quinta-feira] and which must come into force immediately so that the reform of the SEF can be completed and come into force from next week, since it is the unit for the exchange of information and the coordination of the activities of its components, the President of the Republic has published a diploma that approves the organization of the Coordination Unit for Borders and Foreigners”, – the note says.
