The Lions opened the scoring in the 37th minute thanks to a goal from young Mozambique international Zhenya Katamo. Boavista even equalized in the 77th minute, but after a VAR review, Slovakian Bozhenik’s goal was disallowed for offside.
In the 85th minute, Pedro Gonçalves scored a goal that calmed the León fans and confirmed Sporting’s status as the isolated leaders of the I League.
