Portuguese producer DJ Ride won the IDA (International DJ Association, in English) World DJ Championship in the Party Rocking category and will receive the award in December in Poland, the organization announced on Tuesday.

DJ Ride is the creative name of DJ, producer and sound engineer Oliveiros Thomas Oliveira from Caldas da Rainha, one of the most praised and respected names in the Portuguese hip-hop universe.
In 2007, he released his first album “Turntable Food”, followed by “Psychedelic Sound Waves” (2009) and “Life in Loops” (2012), “From Scratch” (2015), which features artists such as Capicua , Jack, NBC and Jimmy P., and Lightspeed (2020). Meanwhile, he has also released several EPs and collaborated with musicians and bands such as The Legendary Tigerman, Micro Audio Waves, A-Trak, and DJ and producer Holly, his brother.
In 2003, he formed the duo Beatbombers with fellow DJ and producer Stereossauro (Thiago Norte).
