The former athlete believes that the skate hit that killed the hockey player was intentional

Sean Avery, a former National Hockey League (NHL) player, believes the move was deliberate and led to the death of 29-year-old Adam Johnson, who was struck in the throat by a skate blade, a British newspaper reported Tuesday. Daily mail.

This Saturday during the Nottingham Panthers game, after two athletes fell spectacularly close to him, one of them, Matt Pesgrave, ended up hitting him.

Former player Sean Avery called the move “unorthodox” and said Matt Pesgrave was “trying to make some contact” with Adam Johnson. “It seemed deliberate. It was a kung fu punch. My eyes don’t lie,” he stressed.

An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident. Sean Avery said he believed Matt Pesgrave “woke up that day and thought he was going to kill someone.”

On Monday, Adam Johnson’s fiancée reacted to her partner’s death by paying tribute to him. Throughout his career, the athlete represented other teams such as the Pittsburgh Penguins, Los Angeles Kings and Philadelphia Flyers.
