Emergency gynecology and obstetrics department in Aveiro closes

According to the Centro Hospitalar do Baixo Vouga, the emergency gynecology/obstetrics department and the maternity ward of the Aveiro Hospital will be closed from 8:30 a.m. on Sunday until 8:30 a.m. on Monday.

In a statement, the Centro Hospitalar do Baixo Vouga EPE said that, despite all efforts made to complete the schedule of medical workers, restrictions are expected in the emergency gynecology/obstetrics department as well as the maternity ward of the Aveiro Hospital.

The hospital said in a statement that for this reason, these services “will be closed from 8:30 a.m. on November 5 until 8:30 a.m. on November 6.”

If necessary, users should contact Bissaya Barreto Maternity Hospital and Daniel Matos Maternity Hospital in Coimbra.

CHBV says notification has been issued to CODU/INEM, fire services, Sauda 24, referral hospital and nearby hospitals.
