The body of Xuefeng Zhou, a 16-year-old missing since October 30, was found this Wednesday stuck in the mud on the Sorraia River, next to the Porto Alto bridge in Benavente. The Chinese minor was sought by firefighters and the PNP, and the case was investigated by the SP. Inspectors were this Wednesday in a remote place, where in the late afternoon the body was discovered by a fisherman who had cast his net. The corpse is decomposed and only an autopsy should indicate the cause of death and whether there was a crime or an accident. Known as Afonso or “FonFon”, he lived with his sister in a host family. He disappeared after leaving for school, 10 minutes from home, and the crime theory gained traction. The body was found 600 meters from the house.
