The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) announced this Friday the disqualification of seven Belgian tennis players involved in a match-fixing network in Belgium, where they have already been convicted by civil justice.
According to the organization, the tennis players admitted to violating the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP).
The bans imposed by the ITIA, ranging from two to four years, will be applied to tennis players Arnaud Grasse, Julien Doubil, Maxime Autumn, Omar Salman, Romain Barbosa, Arthur de Graef and Alec Witmer.
Last June, Belgian justice sentenced network leader Grigor Sargsyan to five years in prison for criminal organization, money laundering and fraud.
Sargsyan, an Armenian, coordinated the largest match-fixing scheme in tennis history, involving 180 tennis players from 35 countries.
