Champions Benfica beat Sporting at home this Sunday with a score of 2-1 in the 11th round of the Portuguese Football League thanks to two goals in stoppage time.
Swede Victor Gyöckeres gave Sporting the lead in the 45th minute, with Joao Neves equalizing on 90+4 and Denmark’s Kasper Tengstedt winning on 90+7 as the Lions played with one man less following the sending off of aged Gonçalo Inácio 51 years old. .
Having inflicted their first defeat on Sporting, Benfica took the lead with the same 28 points as second-place Sporting and three more than Porto.
