This Friday, Everton were fined minus 10 points in the English Football League for breaking the tournament’s financial rules.
Last season the club reported losses over the last three years of £372 million (around €425 million).
The Premier League’s financial strength rules allow for maximum losses of up to £105 million (€120 million) over three years, significantly lower than those represented by the Toffees.
The club said on Friday that it was “shocked and disappointed” and that it would appeal the decision, which sees it drop to bottom of the league with the same four points as Burnley.
The team, coached by Sean Dyche and with a record of four wins, two draws and six defeats, includes Portuguese players Joao Virginia, Andre Gomes, Beto and Shermiti.
