Social media emergencies with restrictions next week

The Executive Directorate of the SNS has published a new emergency reorganization plan, covering more than 35 points of various specialties in the country, which will work with restrictions from November 19 to 25.

Emergency restrictions by region:

Northern region

In the north of the country, there will be difficulties with the emergency department at the Hospitalar de Chaves for the specialties of pediatrics and orthopedics: patients will be sent to Vila Real and Porto (Santo António). On the night of the 20th to the 24th, the emergency orthopedic department will redirect patients to Porto (Santo Antonio). During this period, the emergency department of the Mirandela Hospital will be transferred to Bragança.

Still in the same region, Braga Hospital will have difficulty providing emergency general surgery for almost the entire period (with the exception of November 22nd), with referrals to Porto (São João) and gynecological/obstetric services on the 21st, 23rd and 25th. redirecting users to Viana do Castelo, Guimarães, Famalicão and Porto (Santo João).

In Viana do Castelo, the local hospital will have difficulty with gynecology/obstetrics on November 19 and 24 (patients are sent to Braga, Famalicão, Guimarães and Porto – São João) and general surgery on November 19, 24 and 25 (users are transferred to Porto – St. John). The Via Verde medical center and the internal medicine department will be open on the 24th and 25th, as well as on the night of the 24th with transport to Braga.

The Via Verde airport in Guimarães will be open at night on November 20, 23, 24 and 25 (transport to Braga).

The Centro Hospitalar do Médio Ave in Vila Nova de Famalicão will host a general surgery course from the 19th to the 21st with a redirect to Porto (São João).

At the Santa Maria Mayor Hospital in Barcelos, general surgery will always be subject to restrictions (specialty hospital – Porto – São João). On these days, pediatric and orthopedic users will be able to travel to Braga at night. In the internal medicine department, total conditioning will be carried out at 19 and 25 hours and at night at 23 and 24 hours. In this case, patients will be transported to Braga.

The general surgery services in Vila do Conde (19) and Povoa de Varzim/Matosinhos (19, 20 and 25) will have some restrictions in place and users will be sent to the hospital in São João, Porto.

In Penafiel, at the Centro Hospitalar do Tâmega e Sousa, there will be restrictions in general surgery (users in Santo António, Porto) and pediatrics (during the entire period on the 19th and 25th and at night on the 20th) during the entire period. 21, 22 and 23) with transport to the hospital in São João, Porto.

Night orthopedic services in Gaia and Santa Maria da Feira will be limited (users of Santo António Hospital, Porto). Pediatrics at the Fair will be limited to the 25th and the evening of the 19th, and gynecology/obstetrics on the evening of the 19th and 25th and throughout the 23rd, with a redirect to Gaia.

central region

In the Central Region, where there are 17 points of the SNS emergency network, difficulties arise in the Viseu Multipurpose Emergency Service in the specialties of general surgery and orthopedics at night during the week, as well as in the da Guarda Hospital in gynecology/obstetrics, internal medicine, anesthesiology ( 19, 24 and 25) and orthopedics (25). Via Verde AVC will be open all week. Users will be redirected to the University Hospitals of Coimbra, Tondela and Cova da Beira (Covilhã). In Sao Pedro do Sul, the main emergency calls are closed at night for two days (21 and 23).

Aveiro has provisions for gynecology (25), pediatrics (24) and general surgery (24 and 25, as well as night menstruation on 20, 21 and 23). Users will travel to Coimbra. Águeda’s basic emergency service closes on the night of the 21st to the 23rd (users travel to Aveiro).

Castelo Branco has facilities for general surgery (24 and 25) and orthopedics (25), patients will be transported to Covilhã.

Coimbra will receive users from Figueira da Foz – main emergency care on the nights of November 21 and 23 – and from Leiria – gynecology (19, 23, 24 and 25), pediatrics (19), general surgery (19, 24 and 25). and the coronary green pathway (25).

Lisbon and Tagus Valley region

In Lisbon and the Tagus Valley region, with 17 SNS emergency points, there will be difficulties in responding at the Loures Hospital – gynecology/obstetrics (19), pediatrics (19 and 25, with night periods on the remaining days) and general surgery (19, 23, 24 and 25). Users will travel to Vila Franca de Xira, the hospital centers of Western Lisbon, Central Lisbon and Northern Lisbon.

Further north, in Caldas da Rainha, training is provided in gynecology/obstetrics (19), pediatrics (19) and general surgery (19 and 25), with patients sent to Coimbra, Central Lisbon and Torres Vedras, depending from specialty. And users who seek emergency pediatric care in Torres Vedras will contact Caldas da Rainha at any time of the day. Basic emergencies (20 and 21) will be in effect in Peniche and users will travel to Caldas da Rainha.

At the Medio Tejo Abrantes Hospital Center there will be training in pediatrics (19 and 25 years old) and general surgery (night shift November 24). Tomar will close essential emergency services on the 25th. Users will be referred to other hospitals in the same hospital center, Santarem or Central Lisbon.

The District Hospital of Santarem will have departments of gynecology/obstetrics (23, 24 and 25), orthopedics (24 and 25) and Via Verde AVC (night period from 20 to 21). Users will move to Abrantes or Central Lisbon.

The Vila Franca de Xira Hospital will provide training in gynecology/obstetrics (23, 24 and 25) and users will be sent to Loures and central Lisbon.

In the capital, the Hospital Center of Western Lisbon has facilities in the Multipurpose Pediatric Emergency Service (all night shifts) and in the General Surgery Department (21), with users being referred to Central Lisbon.

In Amadora/Sintra, the Emergency Medical-Surgical Services in Gynecology/Obstetrics (20, 21 and 23) and Pediatrics (all night) will have restrictions in place: users will be transported to Central Lisbon, Northern Lisbon and Western Lisbon.

Hospitals in Setubal, Barreiro Montijo and Central Lisbon receive users of gynecological/obstetric services (19, 25 and 24 night shifts), pediatrics (all night shifts), general surgery (19 and 25 pm), orthopedics (night hours). 20) and Via Verde AVC (night time 20, 22 and 23) at the García de Orta Hospital in Almada.

The Centro Hospitalar Barreiro Montijo closes the departments of gynecology, obstetrics and pediatrics on the 19th, and patients are admitted in Setúbal, Almada and Central Lisbon.

Setubal will undergo training in Gynecology/Obstetrics (20-25 years) and Pediatrics (23-25 ​​years), and users will travel to Almada, Barreiro Montijo and central Lisbon.

Alentejo region

In the Portalegre Hospital department, the emergency medical-surgical service will face difficulties in providing general surgery care (20, 21, 23, 24 and 25), with users traveling to Évora, Medio Teja and central Lisbon.

Évora has facilities for pediatrics (night period on the 23rd and 24th) and general surgery (all week), with users traveling to Central and Northern Lisbon.

Algarve

In the Algarve, the emergency pediatric service will face difficulties in operating in Portimão on the 19th and in the orthopedics department on the 25th, with users heading to Faro.
