“From today [este sábado]By decision of the Consumer Secretariat of the Ministry of Justice, the import of water bottles for personal use of suitable material will be allowed at exhibitions,” wrote Flavio Dino.
“Companies producing high temperature shows should provide free drinking water on easily accessible hydration islands. The measure comes into force immediately. The resolution will be published in a maximum of an hour,” he added.
This Saturday, the Brazilian government launched an investigation into the lack of water at concerts. According to local press reports, a thousand people in the audience lost consciousness during Taylor Swift’s performance.
Brazil is experiencing intense heat, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in Rio de Janeiro on Friday. In some areas of the city the temperature reached 59 degrees.
