The Saudi government announced on Tuesday a possible final meeting between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Al-Nasr, owned by the Portuguese captain, and Inter Miami, owned by the Argentine star, will face each other in the Riyhad Season Cup.
The game between the two teams will take place in February 2024, said Turki Al-Sheikh, president of the Saudi Arabian Entertainment Authority. Al Nasr of Luis Castro and Otavio plays at home.
“Riyadh Season and Inter Miami CF have agreed to host the Riyhad Season Cup matches in Riyadh,” explains X (formerly Twitter).
The tournament will feature Jorge Jesus’ Al-Hilal, for which Ruben Neves also plays. The competition, which will be held in the first week of February, will have a league format in which all teams will face each other.
The last time Ronaldo met Messi was also in a friendly match in January 2023 between athletes from the teams of Riyadh and PSG.
The French won the match 5-4, but in the individual match the Portuguese were victorious over their usual opponent. He scored two goals to the Argentine’s one.
