Prosecutors on Tuesday asked for the maximum sentence of 25 years in prison for a man on trial for raping three granddaughters and two nieces over an 11-year period. The predator, now 72, is suspected of 2,317 sex crimes against five girls when they were minors. The first was abused from the age of four.
The deputy’s request was signed by the victims’ lawyer, who acted as an assistant in the process, but did not demand any compensation. The sexual predator cried again in the courtroom but continues to deny responsibility for any violence. The lawyer asked, if the suspect is found guilty, for a more lenient punishment, since he believes that this is a continuous crime, and not thousands of crimes.
