Mehdi Taremi at the gates of the Porto football club. Since the final year of the contract has expired, an extension of the agreement seems impossible.
Pinto da Costa said in an interview that the 31-year-old striker has offers to earn ten million euros net. An unsustainable amount of money for FC Porto’s coffers, especially since to match this proposal they would have to spend much more in taxes, i.e. invest 20 million euros in the player.
However, the Porto leader said that the proposals he had already heard were far from the point of terminating the agreement for 60 million euros, and therefore it was not worth even starting negotiations.
Inter Milan appears to be the main destination of the player, who arrived in Porto this Wednesday after scoring for the Iranian team against Hong Kong (4-0) and Uzbekistan (2-2). Taremi is due to rest tomorrow (20:45) for the Portuguese Cup against Montalegre, but is set to start in the Champions League against Barcelona (Tuesday).
