The data shows that 2022 saw the largest number of records of convicted child sex offenders, with a total of 383, followed by 2015 (374). This year, until November 20, 352 pedophiles were registered.
Requests to review the criminal records of people convicted of child sex offenses are increasing annually, with 2,300 requests recorded this year, the highest ever, compared with 1,265 in 2022, an increase of almost 77% than in 2021, when 716 requests were made. orders have been made.
According to the Ministry of Justice, in 2020 the number of requests for consultation reached 550, in 2019 – 215, in 2018 – 131, in 2017 – 96, in 2019 – 178, and in 2015 – nine.

Information on criminal records is only available to magistrates for the purposes of criminal investigations, authorities competent to carry out investigative actions or instructions, responsible for international cooperation in the field of crime prevention and suppression, and the Directorate General of Reintegration and Prison Services and the Protection of Children and Youth.
The Ministry of Justice indicates that “citizens exercising parental responsibilities for minors under 16 years of age through the police also have access to information provided that they prove their place of residence, school attendance and proof of parental responsibilities for the minor when it a well-founded fear.”
Created in 2015, the registry includes the names, ages, residences and crimes of convicted sex offenders whose victim is a minor.
According to the law, data on offenders is entered into the criminal registration system for five years when they are given a fine or imprisonment for a term of up to one year, and for 10 years when imprisoned for a term of more than one year and no more than five years. . .
The data will be available for 15 years when imposing a sentence of imprisonment for a term of more than five and no more than 10 years. If a convicted person is sentenced to imprisonment for a term of more than 10 years, his data will be entered into the register for 20 years.
