Benfica beat Varzim to advance to the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup

On Tuesday, Benfica reached the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Football Cup, beating Varzim 2-0 and scoring triumphant goals from Grimaldo and Enzo Fernandez.

Against a team that had been knocked out of Sporting in the previous round, the debut of the first division teams in this edition of the competition, Benfica took the lead in the fourth minute thanks to the Spaniard Grimaldo collecting a direct free kick. A kick with Enzo Fernandez, recently crowned world champion with Argentina, extending his lead in 78th.
