Bayern Munich will make an offer to sign Diomande from Sporting, the German press reports.
The 19-year-old Ivorian centre-back, who excelled at Mafra (II Liga), where he was on loan from Midtjylland, has earned praise and admirers for his safe and consistent performances.
German interest, already reflected in several sightings, has intensified and could mark a turning point in Bayern’s prospects. Diomande is seen as a bet for the future. A young, talented player who has room for development and easily adapts to the tactical scheme used by the club.
Diomande is also cited by Manchester United and Arsenal. Even though he has a contract until 2027 and is protected by an €80 million clause, Sporting want to protect themselves from a possible exit. He had his eye on the 19-year-old Senegalese central defender from Mafra (II League) Ousmane Diao, who had already been found by Ruben Amorim.
Victor Giokeres in full force
Striker Guiokeres left with complaints in the game against Atalanta (1-1), but is at full strength for tomorrow’s game (20:15, Sport TV 1) against Gil Vicente in Alvalade. The Swede trained without restrictions; three young people took part in the work shift. Namely: Lucas Diaz (midfielder, 20 years old), Francisco Canario (forward, 20 years old) and Rafael Besugo (midfielder, 19 years old).
