Arsenal are determined to strengthen their attacking front and make Gyokeres one of their favorite targets, the English press guarantees. The deal will continue in the summer, but the possibility that the Londoners will make an offer in January cannot be ruled out.
Arsenal are top of the English league but manager Arteta would like to have another striker to help in the fight for the title that has eluded them for 20 years. The Gunners have already qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League but still have to make calculations to qualify for Gjokeres in the winter market.
As Ruben Amorim stated a few days ago, Sporting cannot ease the departure of their top scorer with 15 goals. Leonin SAD does not allow any negotiations at this stage and responds to any surveys that indicate a termination clause: 100 million euros.
This amount is prohibitively high for Arsenal, which has already spent 235 million euros on strengthening in the summer. Since sales were only €68 million, there is a gap of €167 million in the market, making a new transfer of such large amounts difficult. The only solution would be to sell some of the surplus first.
