Porto and Benfica have confirmed their participation in the 2025 Club World Cup.

This Sunday, FIFA confirmed that Porto and Benfica are among the participants in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Details of the first edition of the new competition format were confirmed this Sunday during the FIFA Council held in Saudi Arabia, among which were dragons and eagles. nine UEFA members have already confirmed.

The competition will have an official name and will take place from June 15 to July 13, 2025 in the USA. As planned, 32 clubs will take part, divided into eight groups of four teams. Porto and Benfica are among the 12 representatives from Europe, having already secured a place in the UEFA coefficient.

The President of the Portuguese Football Federation, Fernando Gomes, attended the meeting of the FIFA Council.
