The competition will have an official name and will take place from June 15 to July 13, 2025 in the USA. As planned, 32 clubs will take part, divided into eight groups of four teams. Porto and Benfica are among the 12 representatives from Europe, having already secured a place in the UEFA coefficient.
The President of the Portuguese Football Federation, Fernando Gomes, attended the meeting of the FIFA Council.
