Swede Victor Gyokeres (11 minutes) and Pedro Goncalves (60 minutes) scored the Lions’ goals in a match that saw the Dragons reduced to 10 men after Pepe (51) was sent off.
Thanks to this triumph, Sporting now have 34 points, one more than Benfica and three more than Porto.
