The 47-year-old cleaner came to the home of a couple where she provided services in Sant Joan de Lure, Albergaria a Velha, on her day off. He left the house with his superiors and then returned to his room. He took a safe containing thousands of euros and took it away.
On Thursday last week the couple, both in their 50s, lodged a complaint with the GNR and the Águeda Criminal Investigation Center recovered €10,780 from the woman’s home in Frossos.
The employee told authorities that she took the safe without knowing what was in it. The returned money has already been transferred to the spouses, who in the complaint mentioned the theft of about 12 thousand euros. The facts were submitted to the court of Albergaria a Vella. The suspect was accused of burglarizing a residential building.
