Footballer Gabriel Veron, who was recovering from physical problems suffered while playing for the B team in October, has been loaned by Portuguese League One side FC Porto to Cruzeiro, the Brazilian championship club said on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old striker will be linked with the Foxes on a one-year deal until December 2024, with the agreement including a €10 million option (ME) clause.
Far from the plans of Blaugrana coach Sergio Conceiço, Gabriel Veron returns to his country almost a year and a half after leaving two-time Brazilian champions Palmeiras, coached by Portuguese Abel Ferreira, for 10.3 million euros to sign a contract. The current Portuguese runner-up is contracted for five seasons, until June 2027.
