Carlo Ancelotti has extended his contract with Real Madrid until 2026

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti has extended his contract with Real Madrid for two seasons, until June 30, 2026, the club at the top of the Spanish Football League announced this Friday.

A brief statement published on Real Madrid’s official website puts an end to the possibility that 64-year-old Ancelotti could take over the role of Brazil coach, as reported in Spanish and Brazilian media.

“In five seasons as Real Madrid coach [Ancelotti] won 10 titles: two Champions Leagues, two Club World Cups, two European Super Cups, one Spanish League, two Copa del Rey and one Spanish Super Cup,” Merenguez said.

Real Madrid refers not only to the Italian coach’s current career, which began in the 2021/22 season, but also to his previous time at the Spanish capital club (2013/14 and 2014/15), succeeding Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.

“Carlo Ancelotti is the only coach to win four Champions Leagues and the one with the most wins in this competition (118), as well as the first coach to win the five most important European leagues (Italy, England, France). , Germany and Spain),” noted Real Madrid.

Carletto has already led the Madrid team in 260 matches, of which they have won 189, drawn 33 and lost 38, and the renewal comes at a time when the club leads the Spanish Championship, equal on points with Girona, due to the better difference between the marked and goals incurred.

The former Italian international midfielder has a long coaching career during which he managed some of Europe’s top clubs such as Juventus, Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Naples.
