CMTV is suing the author who sent a fake video to the channel

A CMTV filed a lawsuit against the author who sent a video montage of a flooded car to the channel, presumably in Povoa de Varzim – the lawsuit was filed on Friday, January 5, and demands large compensation for damage caused.

Floods experienced in the city on October 19 during Hurricane Aline resulted in several reports of flooding and road closures. The author of the upload deliberately cut the video, for which he will be held accountable in court “until the final consequences.”

Carlos Cruz, lawyer for Medialivre, a social media brand that owns CM“Business”, “Saturday” and “Record”, among others, says that “in good faith CMTV The video was shown, and the author showed it in full on social networks, and it was clear that this was an unsuccessful installation with a miniature.”

“There are people who, due to unpreparedness, have fun at the expense of other people’s anxieties and experiences. In psychiatry, this disorder has a name. From a legal perspective, such behavior does not currently merit criminalization, I say for now, because the scourge of “fake news” will inevitably be addressed by legal systems. So for me, since I’m not a psychiatrist, it’s called imbecility.”
