The Judicial Police (SP) arrested a 36-year-old man suspected of committing crimes of rape, kidnapping and domestic violence against his 16-year-old daughter in Setubal.
According to a statement issued by the SP this Friday, the facts date back to December 23, 2023, when the suspect raped his daughter in the house where they lived. After the crime was completed, the victim was not allowed to leave the house, and on December 24 he was taken hostage.
However, after several requests from his daughter, the man allowed her to leave the house. The victim immediately went to Setúbal PSP to file a complaint, where he was later taken to hospital.
After being discharged from the hospital, the minor was placed in an institution.
The detainee will be present at the first judicial interrogation when coercive measures are applied.
