Former Arroca president Joaquim Brandao de Almeida, who led the club from 1967 to 1969, died this Friday at the age of 89, the I Football League emblem announced on social networks.
The director was the first to take charge of Arukenses after joining the Aveiro Football Association in 1967 and was therefore an important figure in the early years of the club’s history, something Wolves made sure to remember in their condolences.
“Arroca FC expresses deep regret at the death of Professor Joaquim Brandao de Almeida at the age of 89. We will remember his journey as the first President of the Board of Arroca FC after the club joined the Aveiro Football Association in the 1967/1968 season.
