Jose Mourinho was sacked by Roma on Tuesday. The club released a statement announcing the departure of the Portuguese coach and his staff “with immediate effect.”
“We thank Jose, on behalf of all of us at Roma, for the passion and dedication he has shown since his arrival at the Giallorossi,” said Dan and Ryan Friedkin, as quoted on the club’s website.
“We will always have good memories of his leadership, but we believe immediate changes are necessary in the best interests of the club. We wish Jose and his staff all the best for the future,” the statement said.
