Brazilian midfielder Gabriel has ended his contractual relationship with Benfica after joining the Lisbon club in 2018 from Spanish side Leganes, the Portuguese football champions said on Thursday.
“Sport Lisbon and Benfica and the player Gabriel have mutually agreed to terminate the contract, ending a relationship that began in the 2018/19 season,” can be read in a note published by the Reds on the official website. .
In total, from 2018 to 2021, there were 100 official games and five goals scored, contributing to the victory in the 2018/19 national championship and the 2019 Super Cup.
Gabriel, 30, was loaned to Al Gharafa of Qatar in September 2021 but was transferred back to Brazilians Botafogo in 2022.
