The former coach of FC Porto (FCP), André Villas-Boas, reacted this Thursday to Pinto da Costa’s statements on RTP about his candidacy for the presidency of the club.
“I wanted to be positive about this candidacy and this campaign. Entering into a fight of this kind does not value FC Porto or this campaign,” he said during the presentation of candidates for the leadership of the Financial and Disciplinary Council and the General Assembly.
Andre Villas-Boas said that he was not supported by his enemies or any media, which contradicts and highlights the “disrespect for his colleagues” regarding Pinto da Costa’s statements.
“I am not here to continue discussing the rhetoric of the past, which has long been outdated,” he emphasized.
António Pereira, who will lead the General Assembly, and Angelino Ferreira, member of the Financial Council, were two names presented during the session.
During the reaction, the former coach also spoke of Pinto da Costa as the president of presidents: “colleagues believe that President Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa is the president of presidents.”
On the topic of cheerleading, Andre Villas-Boas said there are a number of traditions associated with Organized Cheerleaders (OCGs) that are respected by their members.
“At this point, we have to look into the processes and protocols associated with the GOA and see if there is anything disrespectful to the rest of the members,” he added, referring to complaints of “stifling in accessing the GOA.” club ticket system” coming from houses and partners.
