Mozambique’s Prime Minister Adriano Maleian defended the country’s commitment to industrializing through the capitalization of local raw materials for rapid economic growth.
Maleyane spoke on Saturday at the African Prosperity Dialogue meeting held in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
“We reaffirm Mozambique’s determination to continue to implement measures and actions that contribute to increasing national industrial production, giving priority to the use of local raw materials, stimulating the growth of trade, especially with African countries,” said the First Minister of Mozambique, in a speech before which Lusa had access to this Sunday.
The official noted that increased trade ties between African countries will contribute to the consolidation of the African Continental Free Trade Area and the achievement of the goals of the African Agenda 2063.
“Africa needs to increase trade exchanges between the countries of the continent in order to guarantee the rapid development of African countries,” emphasized Adriano Maleyane.
The Prime Minister of Mozambique stressed the importance of a strong alliance between the continent’s business community and financial institutions.
“We believe that to develop and strengthen economic and commercial relationships, we must ensure greater participation from the business sector and national, regional and international financial institutions, which will enable us to increase investment in technology and innovation,” he said.
Africa, he continued, needs to create a strong and secure base for increased production and industrialization by increasing the value of raw materials.
