Some 2,200 villages in six years have joined the Safe Village program, which aims to provide greater protection in case of fire, but less than half have fire evacuation plans, according to Civil Defense.
Figures available on the website of the Safe Village and Safe People programs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Directorate of Emergency Situations and Civil Protection (ANEPC) indicate that they have joined the program, created after the 2017 fires. a total of 2,242 clusters, of which 2,093 have a local security officer and 919 evacuation plans.
The tasks of the village security guard include transmitting warnings to the population,, if necessary, organizing the evacuation of the village and conducting educational work among the population.
