The Porto Football Club has already responded to the searches as part of Operation Praetorian, which are taking place this Wednesday in Porto and are aimed at several members of the Super Dragons.
The club said in a statement that “it became known about the proceedings related to the events of the General Assembly on November 13, as a result of which two of its employees who were present at the main meeting were arrested.” The club’s structure later included Super Dragoins and Thiago Aguiar, who belonged to the coaching department of FC Porto.
The club adds that he is not “being persecuted” and intends to continue to cooperate with the authorities in everything “that is asked.”
“If new facts emerge from this investigation, Porto will act accordingly, as it did in relation to the three partners who were given suspended sentences of between six months and one year following the events of that night,” they said.
Fernando Madureira, leader of the cheerleading squad, Vitor Catan, former sports director, Fernando Saul and Thiago Aguiar were arrested this Wednesday, as well as the wife of the leader of the Super Dragoins.
