Fernando Madureira will testify before the judge tomorrow

Fernando and Sandra Madureira’s lawyer, Miguel Marques Oliveira, has guaranteed that the FC Porto fan will make statements as part of the investigation process into the incidents that occurred during the Dragons’ General Assembly.

However, leaving the Porto criminal court, the lawyer told reporters that Fernando Madureira’s wife should remain silent.

“There are those who deal with the situation better, and there are those who deal with it less pleasantly. Statements cannot be made due to the emotional state of the people,” Miguel Marques Oliveira began the explanation.

The lawyer also clarified that this Friday there will be several defendants who are ready to testify.

“Fernando Madureira will not make a statement today. Basically, he will do it tomorrow afternoon. [sexta-feira]. I think five or six will make statements. Today there will be only two accused,” the lawyer said.

Lawyer Fernando Saul, an employee of FC Porto, also assured that her client is ready to “clarify” the facts and will make a statement this Friday.

“My client has always been willing to make statements, the defense understood that this may not be necessary, but he really wants to set the record straight and must do so,” Christiana Carvalho told reporters.

The lawyer also clarified what is being discussed in the case.

“The events at the so-called General Assembly are at stake. Nothing else is at stake. There is another accused of another crime – possession of a prohibited weapon, but I will not comment on that,” he said. said.

Shortly afterwards, Fernando and Sandra Madureira left the court in a PSP van, heading to the Santo Tirso police station, where they would again spend the night.

Eight more accused left in a minibus to also spend the night at the police station.
