Estoril casino employee kidnapped and robbed by armed robbers targeted for deception

An Estoril casino employee was kidnapped and robbed by armed robbers after being mistaken for a gambler who had just won a prize in the early hours of Wednesday.

The victim was caught as he was returning home after a night of work. He was about to park the car when three armed men got out of another car and said: “Give us what you won.” One of the thieves got behind the wheel and the group fled.

“Either you cooperate, or you will get a bullet in the leg,” they threatened, driving around with the victim in a car for 40 minutes. They returned to the house, where the woman was awakened and the couple was kidnapped at gunpoint. As a result, they escaped with money, jewelry and watches worth 15 thousand euros.

PSP representatives went to the scene. The PS is conducting an investigation.
