Three people were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of drug trafficking in Saboya, in the municipality of Odemira (Beja district), while 712 doses of heroin and cocaine were seized, the PNP said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the Beji Territorial Command clarified that the arrest of three people, aged 28, 34 and 41, occurred during a patrol action aimed at combating drug trafficking.
Troopers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Odemira Territorial Detachment approached the vehicle and its passengers after demonstrating “suspicious behavior.”
According to the same source, the military discovered that “they had a narcotic drug.”
Then, during a search of the house, 698 doses of heroin and 14 doses of cocaine, three mobile phones, precision digital scales, a car, 940 euros in cash, as well as various materials for cutting and packaging drugs were seized.
According to GNR, those detained were charged and the facts were submitted to the Odemira Judicial Court.
