William Carvalho was at the Seville Court of Instruction to give evidence as part of an investigation into an alleged sexual assault committed against a woman in August last year.
This was reported by a source in court CM that the Portuguese player claimed that the sexual relationship was consensual and assured that he had already met the same woman in July.
The meeting at which the rape complaint was made took place on August 9, 2023. The complaint was filed on August 16, 2023.
The defense team for 31-year-old William Carvalho believes that “there is more than enough evidence in the case to decisively refute the credibility of the alleged facts.”
No coercive measures were taken and the player’s passport was not confiscated.
